Branch fittings

 

Branch fittings allow you to connect intersecting pipes. The two standard type of pipe branch fittings are tees and 45 degree and 60 degree wyes.

When selecting a branch fitting for a particular industry, you have to consider what sweep you require. Sweep is the angle, or arc in a pipe that allows the smooth flow of the fluid, gas or whatever is travelling through the pipe.
